Fender American Professional Series Jazzmaster

Über Fender American Professional Series Jazzmaster

The American Professional Jazzmaster is made in the USA, and dated examples run from 2016 to 2020. It has an alder body and a maple Deep C neck, a profile between a Modern C and a U, with a maple or rosewood board, a 9.5 inch radius, 22 narrow tall frets, a 25.5 inch scale and a bone nut 1.685 inch (42.8 mm) wide.

Unlike a traditional Jazzmaster, it has no rhythm circuit. A three-way toggle, a master volume with a treble bleed and a master tone run the two V-Mod single coils. The vintage-style floating tremolo has a lock button and a screw-in arm, and the bridge carries brass Mustang saddles. Weighed examples come in at about 7.9 to 8.3 lb (3.6 to 3.8 kg), and measured necks are about 0.82 to 0.83 inch deep at the first fret and 0.91 to 0.93 inch at the 12th. It comes in an Elite molded hardshell case that locks with a key, with the arm, case candy, hex keys and a certificate.

The change owners make most often is a Mastery bridge, and the original bridge usually comes along with the guitar. Lollar pickups in place of the V-Mods and a buzz stop behind the bridge also turn up. Colors include 3-Color Sunburst, Olympic White, Mystic Seafoam (with a maple board), Sonic Gray and Candy Apple Red.
