Über Ibanez AD9 Analog Delay

The Ibanez AD9 is a classic bucket-brigade analog delay from Ibanez's 9 series (like the TS9), warm and dark with vintage-voiced echoes. Its maximum delay time is on the short side, and it gets a little percussive on faster settings. There is an AD9 Mini and a higher-end, multi-head AD999.

The AD9 is Ibanez's classic bucket-brigade analog delay, from the same 9 series as the TS9, and owners are very fond of it: warm, dark, vintage-voiced echoes that many call truly awesome, lovely, a gem they cannot beat for analog delay. Its maximum delay time is fairly short and it gets a bit percussive on faster settings, which is part of the vintage character. It is often the value pick among bucket-brigade delays: owners note you can get an AD9 for a little less than an MXR Carbon Copy for a very similar basic sound, while the Carbon Copy adds subtle modulation and about double the delay time. Maxon made the original, and if you want more there is the higher-end, all-analog multi-head AD999.
