Owners treat the Keeley Katana as a go-to clean boost: very loud and clean, broadly transparent, with volume that runs from below unity up to a big lift, and the Mini version has internal dip switches so you can fine-tune how it sounds. In use it is an always-on or solo boost, run in front to push a drive or the front of the amp for a volume bump, and several owners simply love it. On alternatives, it sits among the popular transparent boosts, cross-shopped with the likes of the EQD Plumes in clean-boost mode; owners note the Wampler Lacerate appears to use essentially the same circuit.
