Strymon Flint Reverb and Tremolo V2

Über Strymon Flint Reverb and Tremolo V2

The Strymon Flint is a two-in-one pedal that puts a reverb and a tremolo in one compact box: three vintage reverbs (60s spring, 70s plate, 80s hall) and three vintage tremolos (harmonic, power-tube and photocell). It is a common always-on for players who want lush verb and classic tremolo without giving up two board slots.

The Flint's whole appeal is getting a great reverb and a great tremolo in one box, and owners tend to run both, often with the plate or hall reverb on almost all the time. It is highly rated for what it does: several call it the best reverb-and-tremolo pedal around, and for more than a few it was the 'gateway' Strymon that led to a board full of them. The tremolo is a genuine standout, the harmonic mode especially, and many leave it on as part of their base tone; the hall reverb draws praise too, with some rating it above pricier Strymon reverbs. The one practical thing to know is power: the Flint is hungry (the V2 needs at least 300mA), so give it a proper isolated high-current supply. Underpowering it makes it flash and cut out, and a few owners find it quietest running on its own factory adapter.
