About the Fender Tone Master Deluxe Reverb

The Tone Master Deluxe Reverb is Fender's tubeless version of its 22-watt Deluxe tube amp: a digital model of the tube circuit drives a 100-watt Class D power amp and one 12 inch Jensen N-12K neodymium speaker, in a pine cabinet with black textured vinyl and a silver grille. It weighs about 23 lb (10.4 kg), about half the tube amp, measures 24.1 x 17 x 9.28 inches (61.2 x 43.2 x 23.6 cm), runs on any mains voltage from 100 to 240 V and is made in China. The front panel follows the original: Normal and Vibrato channels with two inputs each, volume, treble and bass on both, and reverb, speed and intensity on Vibrato.

On the back, a selector sets full power (22 W) or 12, 5, 1, 0.5 or 0.2 W. The balanced XLR line out has a level control, a ground lift and a three-way switch for two speaker-cabinet IRs or a flat signal for your own IR loader; muting the speaker leaves it running for silent recording or a direct feed to a PA. The USB port takes firmware updates from a computer, and version 2 added the Tone Master IR Manager app: 45 factory IRs from 9 microphone options, plus loading your own. A new one comes with a cover, a two-button footswitch and the manual. The Blonde version has blonde vinyl, an oxblood grille and a Celestion NEO Creamback speaker; its Vibrato channel model drops the virtual bright cap, its reverb control is easier to set low, and it weighs the same.
