Privacy

Doirado has no accounts and sets no cookies of its own. This page says what the site does keep, why, and how to have it removed. Last updated 22 September 2026.

Reading the site

You can read every page without telling us who you are. Your currency choice is stored in your own browser, not on our servers. The site sits behind Cloudflare, which serves it and protects it from abuse; Cloudflare may set a technical cookie of its own for that purpose, under its privacy policy.

We count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookie and builds no profile. It records which page was opened, the country, the browser family and how long the page took to load, and nothing that identifies you. We read it to see which pages get read and to keep the site fast.

Searches

When you search, we log the search text, how many results it found and which result you opened. Each entry carries a short hash made from your network address, your browser and the day’s date. It changes every day and cannot be turned back into an address, so it lets us see that one person searched five times without knowing who. Your address itself is not stored. We use this log to make search better and for nothing else.

Serial lookups

The serial number dating tools keep each serial you look up, the brand, the date, the same daily hash used for searches, the country your connection comes from, and the site that sent you here (its name only, like google.com). We read it to see what gear people are researching and what to date next, and for nothing else. It is never tied to your name, email or address. A serial that already appears in a public listing we track is also kept as part of that listing; if one concerns you, you can ask us to remove it, and the tools’ how-it-works page explains how.

“This is wrong” reports

The report button on products, listings and families sends us the page, the reason you picked and the same daily hash, so that one person cannot flood the queue. No name, no address, no email.

Price alerts

If you ask to be told when a product’s price drops, we keep your email address, the product and the price shown at the time. Nothing is sent until you confirm from the first email. Every alert email carries a link that stops it, and stopping is immediate. We do not share the address with anyone, and we delete it on request.

Links to marketplaces and shops

Listings on Doirado link to the marketplace or shop they are on. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies. Some of those links may be affiliate links: if you buy after following one, the marketplace may pay us a commission and may use its own cookie to attribute the sale. When that is active, it is disclosed at the foot of every page. It never changes which listing we show first or what a price says.

Listings and sellers

The prices on this site come from listings that were public on the marketplaces we watch. We show the product, the price, the condition and the country a listing ships from, and we link to the listing itself. We do not show sellers’ names. When eBay tells us a member has closed their account, we process that notice. If you are a seller and want a listing of yours taken off Doirado, write to us and it will be.

Where it lives

Doirado is run from the European Union and its servers are there. It is subject to the GDPR. You can ask what we hold about you and have it deleted; in practice that means an alert email address, since nothing else we keep can be tied to a person.

Contact

Use the contact form; it keeps your message and, if you give it, your email, only to read and answer it. For a mistake on a page, the “this is wrong” button on that page is the fastest route. Who runs the site is on the about page.
