Why this number?
The typical used price is the median of 11 used sales observed in the last 6 months, with outliers removed and the figure rounded. An observed sale is often the last asking price rather than a confirmed hammer price.

| Most sold between | €850–€1,200 | 25th to 75th percentile, same window |
| Window | last 6 months | the tightest of 90 days, 6 months and 24 months with 8 used sales |
| Sample | 11 used sales | thin data, treat as a rough guide |
| Time to sell | — | only counted from listings we watch start to finish; not enough yet |
| Live asks | €2,392 | typical ask across 68 listings, 128% above typical used |

About the Gibson EB-0 Bass
The EB-0 is Gibson's short-scale single-pickup bass, made from 1959 to 1979: a mahogany body and set mahogany neck, a rosewood board with 20 frets on a 30.5 inch scale, one large neck humbucker known as the mudbucker, and one volume and one tone control.
Up to 1961 it has a slab Les Paul Junior style body, then the SG shape. 1960s basses have Brazilian rosewood boards and clover-button tuners, early ones a bar bridge; hardware is nickel up to 1964 and chrome from about 1965. The neck became narrower after 1965: measured nuts are about 1 11/16 inch from 1961 to 1965 and 1.5 to 1.63 inch from 1969 to 1973, with depth about 0.85 to 0.95 inch at the first fret. Late 1960s and 1970s basses have an adjustable bridge with a nylon saddle per string. Weighed 1960s examples come in at about 6.5 to 7.8 lb (3 to 3.5 kg), 1970s ones at 8.4 to 9.3 lb (3.8 to 4.2 kg). Cherry is the usual 1960s finish; walnut is common in the early 1970s.
Headstock breaks and repairs are common; repaired neck joints and cracks around the control cavity and jack turn up too. The metal string cover and the string mute are often missing. Owners fit replacement bridges, most often a Hipshot, because the stock one intonates poorly; they also swap tuners, move the strap button to the upper horn against neck dive, add a second pickup or switch, or refinish. Late 1960s serials were reused, so pot date codes date these, though pots get replaced.
