There are always too many of these for sale for anyone to stay greedy: 172 live today, 134 sold in the last 90 days, and the typical is the same €390 it was the 90 days before. The price is not the decision. The XL is.

Used, the XL costs €40 more than the Stomp. New, it costs €236 more. If you want the five extra switches, the used market is where the difference nearly disappears. If you do not, a plain Stomp new is barely worth more than one used, which is why so many turn up used a year later with the box. The gap moves; check both pages on the day.
What you're buying
The Stomp runs the full Helix amp and effects engine in a pedalboard box: the same models as the Helix Floor, limited to eight blocks per preset and three footswitches. For most players putting it on a board with real drives in front, the limits never bite. Condition barely moves the price
In the last 90 days a good one sold for €360 (20 sales), a very good one for €390 (52), an excellent one for €390 (57). €30 between scuffed and clean, and very good and excellent are the same price. Do not pay for mint. Pay for a unit that works, from a seller who has logged it out.
What to check on a used one
- The jacks and the expression input. These live on a board and get stepped on. Plug into every socket; crackle means solder work.
- Firmware and account. Ask the seller to run the latest HX Edit update before handing it over, and to log the unit out of their Line 6 account. Presets you can wipe; a unit locked to someone else's account is an annoyance you don't need.
- The encoders. Early units had scratchy or skipping rotary encoders. Scroll every knob through a preset list; skipping is a known, fixable, but not-free repair.
- The PSU, more than the box. Third-party power is fine if it meets the current spec; below-spec supplies cause the random reboots some "faulty" units are sold with. A cheap test: ask what supply they used.
One listing
A local classifieds listing, condition good, €300 has been up since at least 1 September and is still up on the 18th. That is €90 under the typical. On Reverb it would have gone the same day; on a local classifieds site the buyer has to be within driving distance, and the price waits for them. If you are nearby, that is the one.
