JHS Muffuletta

About the JHS Muffuletta

The JHS Muffuletta is a Big Muff in a box: it packs several classic Big Muff variants (Triangle, Ram's Head, Civil War, Russian and more) plus JHS's own voicing into one pedal, so you get the different Muff eras in a single box. As a Muff it is not fussy about impedance and sounds good anywhere in the chain.

The Muffuletta is JHS's Big-Muff-in-a-box, and its whole idea is getting all the classic Muffs in one pedal: it holds several vintage Big Muff variants (Triangle, Ram's Head, Civil War, Russian and more) plus JHS's own voicing, so you can jump between eras with a knob. Owners love it, calling it awesome and a great pedal that gets heavy rotation. Because it is a Muff (a four-transistor circuit rather than a fussy vintage fuzz) it is not sensitive to impedance and sounds good anywhere in the chain, though owners reckon a Muff sits best after your drives and distortion. If you have wanted to experiment with different years of the Big Muff without buying a shelf of them, this is the easy way to do it, and it is cross-shopped with the EHX Deluxe Big Muff and individual Muffs.
