About the Nash T-63
The T-63 is Nash's hand-aged T-style guitar, modelled on a well-played 1963 Telecaster and built by hand in Olympia, Washington. Bodies are alder or ash; the maple neck usually carries a slab rosewood board, some a maple one. The neck has 21 Dunlop 6105 frets on a 10 inch radius with rolled edges, a 25.5 inch scale, a 1 5/8 inch Tusq nut and a single-action truss rod at the heel. The stock pickups are a Lollar pair wound for Nash, a Vintage T in the neck and a higher-output Special T in the bridge, through one volume, one tone and a three-way switch; Fralin, Seymour Duncan, Waller and Lollar Regal sets turn up too. The bridge has three compensated brass saddles, and the three-ply guard comes in black, white, mint or tortoiseshell.
Two neck carves are offered. The standard Medium C measures about .80 to .88 inch deep at the first fret and .90 to 1.00 inch at the 12th; a bigger boatneck with a slight V is the other option. Weighed examples come in at about 6.6 to 8.4 lb (3.0 to 3.8 kg), most 7.2 to 7.8 lb. A neck humbucker, double binding and a Bigsby are factory options, and left-handed ones are made. The nitro finish is aged to a light, medium or heavy level, and even light ones have the back of the neck worn through. It comes in a wedge-shaped faux alligator Nash case, often brown, with a hang tag or certificate, a keychain and a sticker.
