About the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus
The Pedal Power 2 Plus is a pedalboard power supply with eight isolated, regulated, filtered and short-circuit-protected outputs, fed by a toroidal transformer and a linear supply. It measures about 152 x 86 x 44 mm (6 x 3.4 x 1.8 in) and weighs 2 lb (907 g). In normal mode outputs 1 to 4 give 9 V at 100 mA, outputs 5 and 6 give 9 V at 250 mA, and outputs 7 and 8 give 9 V at 100 mA. DIP switches underneath set outputs 1 to 4 to 12.3 V at 60 mA for 12 V Boss pedals and outputs 5 and 6 to an unregulated 12 V mode for Line 6 modelers, or engage SAG knobs on outputs 7 and 8 that lower the voltage from 9 V to about 4 V to imitate a dying battery; keep SAG off for digital pedals. Doubler cables, sold separately, combine two outputs into 18 V or 24 V, or outputs 5 and 6 into 500 mA. The barrels are 5.5 x 2.1 mm center negative; isolation lets positive-ground and negative-ground pedals share it. A rear outlet takes up to 200 W.
Each unit is built for one mains voltage (120 V, 230 V or 100 V), marked on the bottom. It is hand made in the USA with a 5-year warranty. The box holds a mains cord and either a ten-cable set or an eight-pack of 2.1 mm cables; brackets are extra. Used units often lack some cables or the side screws that hold the brackets.
