About the Wampler Pantheon Overdrive

The Wampler Pantheon is Wampler's take on the classic Marshall Bluesbreaker overdrive: a low-to-medium-gain drive with flexible clipping and gain-structure controls and a presence knob. The Deluxe version adds a second circuit, clipping switches for both sides, dual gain structure and MIDI/presets. It runs from a fairly transparent blues drive up into more modern, higher-gain distortion.

The best-priced as cards, a row of them; every other ad as a line, by ask. Each ask is the seller’s own number; the platform’s mark opens the listing. Each one says when we last confirmed it at its source: the price and availability are from that visit, so check the marketplace before you go.

What owners have said elsewhere

Paraphrased from 108 discussion threads among 10 owners, 2024. No names, nothing quoted.

Owners rate the Pantheon as a versatile, high-quality Bluesbreaker-style drive, and plenty call it a favourite outright: 'my favorite pedal', 'excellent unit', 'five stars, would buy again'. A big part of the appeal is that it does a flexible dual-drive job for less than an Analogman King of Tone, which makes it a popular no-wait stand-in for that pedal. Worth knowing on voicing: it leans more modern and higher-gain than a pure blues box, tipping into light-distortion territory, so a few owners find it more gain than they need, and for earthier, lower-gain blues they compare it with a Klon-style Tumnus while the Pantheon covers the more driven end. One version note: a minority feel the Deluxe circuit is not quite the same as the original V1, which they consider the 'magic' one, though most Deluxe owners are very happy with theirs.
