About the Chase Bliss Audio MOOD MKII
The Chase Bliss Mood is not a normal delay, it is a compact manipulation engine that layers two independent sides: a micro-looper with tape, granular and stretch style textures on one, and a delay or reverb on the other, so you can capture a phrase and warp it into evolving ambient soundscapes. The original is mono; the Mood MkII adds stereo and revised modes. It is a niche, experimental pedal, and a premium-priced one.

What owners have said elsewhere
Paraphrased from 44 discussion threads among 10 owners, 2024-2025. No names, nothing quoted.
Owners who get on with the Mood find it genuinely special, incredible, an amazing pedal, and the sort of specific, one-of-a-kind box nothing cheaper really replaces. It works as a manipulation engine more than a straight delay: people use it to capture a phrase and drag it out into ambient tracks, and it still doubles as a good delay and reverb. The favourite trick is to run it alongside other soundscape pedals, one owner runs the Mood, a Hologram Microcosm and an Outward in parallel for the combinations, and the mono original slots neatly into an effects loop while the MkII opens things up in stereo. Two honest caveats: it is expensive enough that even fans say they cannot quite justify the price, and it is a deep, niche pedal, one owner liked his first-version Mood but found it never pulled him in to explore it fully. If you want a conventional echo, look elsewhere, but for evolving ambient textures it has a devoted following.
