The Julia (and its bigger sister the Julianna) is a beloved modulation pedal here, one owner who had tried them all plugged in the Julianna and it was an instant BINGO, best chorus ever, others simply love theirs, highly recommend them, and call them a lot of fun, if a bit expensive. What keeps people coming back is a warpy, wonky, watery character no cleaner chorus quite matches. The D-C-V blend is the heart of it: a favorite setting is mostly vibrato with a touch of chorus. Owners share a couple of placement tips, run it pre-dirt (before your drives) so it stays watery on cleans but subtle under gain, or turn the lag and rate up and put it after a drive and let it rip, since a bit of distortion after the pedal actually brings its rolled-off highs back to life. If you are choosing, several owners note the standard Julia has the core sound and the Julianna's stereo, tap and presets may be extras you won't use.
