Owners rate the East River Drive as one of the better affordable Tube Screamers, one calls it a great take on the 808 and one of the better ones, another says it is awesome and definitely worth the money and more, and one simply calls it his most versatile pedal. It is a genuine EHX and Analog Man collaboration, which owners feel shows in the sound for the price. In use it works well both as a standalone overdrive and as a boost, plays nicely with other pedals, and owners pair it happily in front of a Muff. A couple of small notes from owners: it sings with single coils (one loves it with a Strat, a little less with humbuckers), and while a few describe it as decent rather than boutique, it comes up over and over as a great-sounding budget drive. If you want the Tube Screamer voice without the boutique price, it is a well-liked pick.
