Owners rate the Synth9 highly, calling it really good with great tones for the price and preferring its soulful, gloriously glitchy character to more sterile guitar-synth pedals. Getting the most out of it is about tracking: it builds its sound from the note it hears, so owners feed it a clean signal and keep it early in the chain, and use a compressor and EQ to tame stray notes. Like other guitar-synth pedals its tracking is not perfect, so several owners lean on it for texture and drones more than fast melodic lines.
