Why this number?
The typical used price is the median of 8 used sales observed in the last 6 months, with outliers removed and the figure rounded. An observed sale is often the last asking price rather than a confirmed hammer price.

About the Martin 00-15M
The 00-15M is Martin's all-solid mahogany 00, the body size Martin calls Grand Concert, made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania: mahogany top, back and sides, a 14-fret neck join, no binding and a satin finish. It also uses the full 25.4 inch scale, where a traditional 00 has a shorter 24.9 inch (632 mm) one. Under the top is non-scalloped A-frame X bracing in Sitka spruce; the Modified Low Oval neck has 20 frets and a 1 11/16 inch nut, and the fingerboard and belly bridge are East Indian rosewood (morado on some) with abalone diamonds and squares, a bone nut, a compensated bone saddle and ebony pins. A left-handed version is made.
A few details separate older from newer. Examples dated up to 2020 came with a Martin hardshell case; new ones come with a softshell case or gig bag. Older ones have open-gear tuners with butterbean knobs, recent ones Ping tuners with large black plastic knobs. Current spec sheets give the neck wood as select hardwood where older ones say mahogany, and because of material supply the pickguard is tortoise pattern or black. Weighed examples come in at about 3.4 to 4.1 lb (1.5 to 1.8 kg), with necks about 0.82 inch (20.7 to 21.2 mm) deep at the first fret. New ones come with the heel strap button loose, not fitted. No pickup is standard; Fishman systems were factory options and many have an LR Baggs or other pickup added later.

Price history
Every recorded sale, one point each: 663 of them, placed by the day the ad went up. The line follows the middle of the sales around each point, with the middle half behind it, and breaks wherever nothing sold nearby. Condition is mixed, so some of the spread is a mint against a fair rather than the market moving.
