About the Tokai TSS-38
The TSS-38 is the bottom grade of the 1983-era Silver Star, Tokai's seventies-style Strat, the TSS40 being the same guitar in a metallic custom colour, with a four-bolt neck plate and the truss rod adjusted at the heel; the low resistance read in positions 2 and 4 is just two pickups in parallel, normal five-way wiring rather than a modification.
