Owners use the GE-7 as an all-purpose tone shaper, and they rate what it does: the frequency bands are well placed and there is plenty of range, and the level slider lets it double as a clean or mid boost. Placement is flexible. Many run it in the amp's effects loop for post-preamp shaping, or in front, before or after the drives, for a mid-boost or a tone fix (bear in mind that in the loop it only affects the pedals in that loop).
