About the Boss JB-2 JHS Angry Driver Overdrive
The Boss JB-2 Angry Driver is a two-in-one overdrive born from a collaboration between Boss and JHS: it puts the Boss Blues Driver and the JHS Angry Charlie (a Marshall-flavored distortion) in a single pedal. A mode selector gives six configurations, each circuit on its own, the two stacked in either order, and a parallel blend, and there are two channels. A JHS Red Box or external footswitch unlocks channel switching so you can move between the sounds hands-free.

The best-priced as cards, a row of them; every other ad as a line, by ask. Each ask is the seller’s own number; the platform’s mark opens the listing. Each one says when we last confirmed it at its source: the price and availability are from that visit, so check the marketplace before you go.

What owners have said elsewhere
Paraphrased from 133 discussion threads among 5 owners, 2024-2025. No names, nothing quoted.
Owners rate the JB-2 as a lot of pedal in one box, one calls it an underrated beast with its six modes, another simply loves it for how many good sounds are in it, and a player who owns all three of the pedals it gets compared against calls the Angry Driver the most versatile. The two circuits have distinct jobs: the Blues Driver side adds mids and top-end clarity, while the Angry Charlie side is a warm, thick distortion made for singing leads. The way owners get the most from it is to treat it as a multi-stage gain rig, run the Blues Driver as an always-on preamp for grit, then kick in the Angry Charlie for solos, and add the external footswitch so you can bring each gain stage in one at a time while keeping your core tone; parallel mode is a favorite too. The honest caveats: it takes real time to dial in useful sounds, stacking both sides can be too much for some (who prefer using the circuits separately), and getting the full experience really wants that extra footswitch. Put the work in, though, and it covers a lot of ground.
