The Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster is a signature Jazzmaster with an alder body in gloss polyester, a C profile maple neck in gloss urethane and the truss rod adjusted at the heel. The bound board has a 7.25 inch radius, 21 vintage-style frets and block inlays, on a 25.5 inch scale with a synthetic bone nut 1.650 inch (42 mm) wide. The pickups are two '65 Jazzmaster single coils from Fender's American Vintage line, also listed as Pure Vintage '65.

Two things set it apart from a stock Jazzmaster. A two-way toggle on the upper horn replaces the usual slide switch for the lead and rhythm circuits, with a three-way pickup toggle on the lower horn; the lead circuit uses the master volume and tone knobs and the rhythm circuit its own two thumbwheels. And the bridge carries plated brass Mustang saddles, over a floating tremolo tailpiece with a lock button. The headstock face is painted to match the body, the signature sits on the back of the headstock, and the knobs are white witch hats. It comes in two finishes: metallic Oxblood with a bound rosewood board, pearloid blocks and a four-ply red tortoiseshell pickguard, and Copper Age with a bound maple board and black blocks.
