The American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster is the third model in Fender's Acoustasonic line of hybrid acoustic-electric guitars, made in Corona, California. A hollow mahogany body with a transverse-braced solid Sitka spruce top, forearm and back contours and a small soundport carries a bolt-on mahogany neck with a Modern Deep C profile and a satin urethane finish, an ebony board with a 12 inch radius and 22 narrow tall frets, a 25.5 inch scale and a Graph Tech TUSQ nut 1.6875 inch (42.86 mm) wide. The bridge is ebony and there is no pickguard.

It has three pickups: an Acoustasonic Shawbucker humbucker at the bridge, a Fishman under-saddle piezo and a Fishman Acoustasonic Enhancer body sensor. A master volume, a five-way switch and a Mod knob (also called Blend) select ten voices, an A and a B in each position. Position 1 holds the clean and overdriven electric voices, position 2 the piezo with the overdriven Shawbucker blended in, position 3 adds the body sensor, and positions 4 and 5 hold body models such as a mahogany jumbo, a small mahogany body and a rosewood dreadnought. A built-in lithium-ion battery runs up to 20 hours a charge, charges over USB and plays while charging.

Most weighed examples come in at about 5.4 to 5.6 lb (about 2.5 kg). A new one comes in a Fender Deluxe 1225 gig bag with the USB charging cable and paperwork, strung with Fender Dura-Tone coated phosphor bronze, gauges 11 to 52. Finishes include Natural, Arctic White, Tungsten and Tobacco Sunburst.
