About the PRS SE CE 24
The SE CE 24 arrived in 2024, the first time the CE, PRS's bolt-on model since 1988, joined the SE line. It takes the Custom 24 body, a mahogany back under a maple top with a flame maple veneer and a shallow violin carve, and fits a bolt-on maple neck held by four bolts. The neck is scarfed maple in the Wide Thin carve with a double-acting truss rod, and the headstock face is black. Spec sheets put it at 13/16 inch (20.6 mm) deep at the first fret and 57/64 inch (22.6 mm) at the 12th. The rosewood board has bird inlays, 24 frets, a 25 inch scale, a 10 inch radius and a 1 11/16 inch nut.
Two uncovered 85/15 S humbuckers run through a master volume, a push-pull tone that splits both pickups and a three-way toggle; the bridge is the PRS molded tremolo, with PRS-designed tuners. Weighed examples come in at about 7.3 to 7.8 lb (3.3 to 3.55 kg). A new one comes in a PRS SE gig bag with the tremolo arm and a wrench. Colors include Black Cherry, Blood Orange, Vintage Sunburst and Charcoal Burst. A limited Sandblasted edition puts a sandblasted swamp ash top over the mahogany back, with smoked black hardware.
