About the PRS SE Zach Myers

The SE Zach Myers is a semi-hollow singlecut in PRS's SE line: a chambered mahogany body with a maple top, a flame maple veneer and a single f-hole. The set mahogany neck has a satin finish and the Wide Fat carve, with a rosewood board, bird inlays, 22 frets on a 24.594 inch scale (often given as 24.5), a 10 inch radius and a 1 11/16 inch (42.9 mm) nut. Two PRS 245 S humbuckers each get a volume and a tone, with a three-way toggle; the bridge is the PRS adjustable stoptail, a wraparound, with vintage-style tuners and nickel hardware.

The first SE Zach Myers came out in 2010; the semi-hollow singlecut version followed in 2014, and examples from 2014 to 2017 were made in South Korea. In 2021 the Myers Blue finish arrived with a matching flame maple headstock face. Older ones have a beveled top, while recent ones list a shallow violin carve. Colors include Trampas Green, Myers Blue and the newest, Elderberry Burst, with cream binding. Weighed examples come in at about 6.4 to 7.6 lb (2.9 to 3.4 kg), and necks measure about 0.86 to 0.88 inch deep at the first fret and 0.94 to 0.97 inch at the 12th. A new one comes with a PRS SE gig bag. The usual upgrade is locking tuners from Gotoh or PRS, sometimes after reaming the peg holes slightly; owners also replace the pots, switch and jack, cover or swap the open humbuckers, and have the frets leveled.
