Why this number?
The typical used price is the median of 10 used sales observed in the last 6 months, with outliers removed and the figure rounded. An observed sale is often the last asking price rather than a confirmed hammer price.

About the Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus
The Standard Plus is the Les Paul Standard with a higher grade figured maple top, not drilled for a pickguard; dated examples run from 1995 to 2016. It has a mahogany body, a one-piece mahogany neck and a bound rosewood board with 22 frets and trapezoid inlays, a 24.75 inch scale and a 1 11/16 inch nut; dated examples from 2005 to 2016 have Burstbucker Pro humbuckers.
Up to 2005 the body is not chambered and the neck is a rounded '50s or a slim '60s shape; measured necks are 0.80 to 0.83 inch deep at the first fret and 0.94 to 1.0 inch at the 12th, and weighed examples mostly run 8.8 to 9.9 lb (4.0 to 4.5 kg). From 2008 come a chambered body, an asymmetrical neck, locking Grover tuners and a TonePros locking bridge and tailpiece; 2008 to 2011 examples add a Neutrik locking jack and a clear control cover and weigh 7.7 to 8.5 lb (3.5 to 3.9 kg). From 2012 the body has modern weight relief; 2012 to 2014 examples add a compound-radius board and push-pull knobs for coil splits, phase reverse and a bridge bypass, and weigh 8.2 to 9.4 lb (3.7 to 4.3 kg). The 2014 has an AAAA top, a 120th anniversary banner at the 12th fret and frets over the binding, and came with either locking Grovers or the Min-ETune automatic tuner, in a brown case lined in pink.
Owners often replace the circuit-board wiring with a conventional harness and swap the pickups. Ocean Water Perimeter is a 2014 finish.
