The 2024 Jessica is a Gibson USA Slash Collection Standard rather than a spec replica: the core Collection build with a 50s neck, Gibson Slashbucker pickups and a two-piece mahogany body, plus the three-piece maple top in a faded honey burst that marks the original. That original is a 1987 Les Paul Standard, a factory second with a three-piece top, refinished once from heritage cherry and faded to honey over decades on stage. Gibson's earlier tribute was the 2008 Custom Shop Inspired By run (VOS and Murphy Aged), which is a separate guitar with its own market. There is no left-handed version and dealers say none is planned.
