The Love Rock is Tokai's Les Paul-style guitar, made in Japan since the late 1970s and still in production. The model number is the Japanese list price in thousands of yen rather than a grade that carries across years, so the same guitar wears different numbers as prices move, and a Love Rock is identified from the model handwritten in the pickup cavity, the serial and the Made in Japan line on the headstock. The vintage run of 1978 to 1985 (LS-50 to LS-200) is the collectors' end, with specifications that wandered in the last two years; the modern Vintage and Premium Series continue it, and the budget ALS models were built in Korea and then China. Early examples wore Les Paul Reborn and Reborn Old on the headstock before the Love Rock name; those badges are this family, not a different line.
