About the Tokai TLS-50
The TLS-50 is the 50-grade Love Rock of the Goldstar years, 1984-85, the T-prefixed successor of the LS-50: in 1985 the 50 carried a two-piece plain maple top where the 60 had a flame veneer (a 1982 LS-50 had a three-piece top), with the pre-Gotoh tuners of the decade; one 1985 weighs 9 lb 8 oz with a 1 11/16-inch nut, and identification is muddied by oddballs from that period.

What owners have said elsewhere
Paraphrased from 3 discussion threads among 8 owners, 2023-2026. No names, nothing quoted.
A TLS 50 is called an incredible guitar; an owner of an identical 1985 calls it fantastic to play and hear, and a new owner of a 1982 LS50 with four Gibsons in the house says it screams and will never leave, not the number one, but far closer than that owner ever expected.
