Why this number?

The typical used price is the median of 11 used sales observed in the last 90 days, with outliers removed and the figure rounded. An observed sale is often the last asking price rather than a confirmed hammer price.

About the Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top Pro

The Les Paul Standard Plus Top Pro puts a AAA flame maple veneer (not a solid maple top) over a solid mahogany body, with a set mahogany neck in a 1960s SlimTaper D profile, 22 medium-jumbo frets on a 12 inch radius, trapezoid inlays, a 24.75 inch scale, a 1.68 inch nut and single-ply cream binding. A ProBucker-2 sits in the neck and a slightly overwound ProBucker-3 in the bridge, both with Alnico II magnets, and pulling up each volume knob splits that pickup's coils. The LockTone bridge and stopbar stay put with the strings off, the tuners are Grover and the truss rod cover reads Les Paul Standard Pro.

Dated examples run from 2012 to 2019, all made in China, at Qingdao where named; the serial starts with the two-digit year (15111507904 is a 2015). Those dated 2014 to 2016 have a rosewood board, while spec sheets from 2018 and 2019 list pau ferro. Weighed examples come in at about 8.3 to 9 lb (3.8 to 4.1 kg). New ones shipped without a case. Many were sold through the factory-authorized refurbisher, which lightly stamps the word used on the back of the headstock and alters or replaces the serial. Early colors were Honeyburst, Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Trans Blue, Vintage Sunburst and Wine Red, with Blueberry Burst, Blood Orange, Greenburst and Mojave Fade added later; limited editions came in Bourbon Burst, Dirty Lemon and Translucent Black. Owners often change pickups, tuners (to locking ones), wiring and knobs. Look for finish cracks or repairs around the neck.

The best-priced as cards, a row of them; every other ad as a line, by ask. Each ask is the seller’s own number; the platform’s mark opens the listing. Each one says when we last confirmed it at its source: the price and availability are from that visit, so check the marketplace before you go.

One email when a listing shows up 15% or more under typical, or typical itself drops 15%. Never more than one a day. No account; a link to stop in every email.
