About the Tokai Love Rock ALS-48
The ALS-48 is the entry-level Love Rock, built in Korea (in the old Cort factory) from about 1995 to 2003 and in China since; new it sold for roughly 400-500 in euros or dollars. The Korean guitars carry no serial but Made in Korea inked on the pots; the tells against a Japanese one are a hex-nut truss rod rather than the Gibson-style brass nut, a three-screw (or one-screw; two on some early ones) truss-rod cover, metric pickup rings, small pots, a box-type toggle, binding seen mainly from the side and a photo-print flame top. Later Chinese examples carry MK4 pickups, and distributor runs exist, a 2017 lemon drop of 108 for France with Giovanni pickups, with the open-book headstock on some. Owners date theirs from 1995 to 2017. On a Korean guitar the hex truss-rod nut sits deep in the neck under the string nut and takes a hex key, it is not a snapped rod, and not the Gibson-style socket of the Japanese guitars.

The best-priced as cards, a row of them; every other ad as a line, by ask. Each ask is the seller’s own number; the platform’s mark opens the listing. Each one says when we last confirmed it at its source: the price and availability are from that visit, so check the marketplace before you go.
Price history
Every recorded sale, one point each: 41 of them, placed by the day the ad went up. Too few sales to draw a trend through them without inventing one, so the points speak for themselves. Condition is mixed, so some of the spread is a mint against a fair rather than the market moving.

What owners have said elsewhere
Paraphrased from 12 discussion threads among 21 owners, 2021-2026. No names, nothing quoted.
The verdict on the ALS-48 is consistent: quite good quality from China, still a very excellent guitar, good for the money and capable of being great with a few small upgrades; a pawn-shop find is praised for its finish, neck, sound and pickups, and a 2017 lemon drop is called streets better than an Epiphone 59 that cost three times as much. The dissent is from a collector of six Japanese Tokais who will not buy the Korean or Chinese ones at all, and from those who stress a good guitar is still far from a Japanese one.
